A wonderful taste of Italy in Perthshire.
This place is an absolute gem! I found out about K B's Italian Kitchen & Cafe almost by accident. We were on holiday near Oban last June, when the owner of the B&B we were visiting mentioned a new Italian, Kaina Italian Kitchen, that had opened in Oban a couple of weeks earlier, to great reviews. The food there was superb and we fully intend to visit again when we're next in Oban. However, on the wall were pictures of two other restaurants; one in Crieff and one in Aberfeldy. It transpired that the owners of Kaina are part of the wider family that own these other two restaurants. As we visit Pitlochry often, we decided to visit the Aberfeldy restaurant, K B's Italian Kitchen, on our next visit to Pitlochry. So on Wednesday 23rd October, my wife and I visited KB's and what a fantastic experience we had. We had booked early, 5.30pm, so the room was empty at first but it quickly filled up, so that was obviously a good sign. I chose the Verdue pizza and my wife, who usually chooses pasta, plumped for the the Americano pizza. I can honestly say that is was the best pizza I've ever had. Both of our pizzas were hot and fresh, the bases were light, soft and more importantly, there was not the hint of any sogginess underneath, even at the centre of the base. Bursting with flavour, it was simply perfection on the plate. My wife loved her pizza too, which she accompanied with a glass of the house red, which turned out to be Nero d'Avalo, a Sicilian wine that she said was "gorgeous". To say the portions were generous is an understatement. We were unable to experience any of the delights on the dessert menu as we both had had more than enough to eat. However, we both had room for a cappuccino each which had a deep, robust flavour without being overly-strong or bitter... as opposed to the frothy dishwater offered in some places. The gentleman who greeted us was polite, friendly and extremely generous and made us feel very welcome. As the room filled with diners, there was a lovely, vibrant buzz about the place, complete with lovely Italian music. We could easily have stayed for longer, if only to see if there was any room for dessert! That will have to wait for next time. We will certainly return when next in the neighbourhood. Looking forward to next time.

Food is always a delight!
Food is always a delight! This is some of the best Italian food we've had - certainly in Scotland. Many choices, centrally located, friendly staff. Location is very small - consider making a reservation.

Great family meal
Family dinner out while in Aberfeldy for the weekend. Walked by the restaurant on way for pre dinner drinks and happy to see it was very busy. Sat at our table and orders taken promptly. Very friendly and welcoming waitresses. We went straight for mains thinking the kids would want ice cream. Every meal was great, fresh!! Pizzas, pasta, chicken dishes all delicious and obviously cooked to order. The kids never made it to ice cream, everyone was full up, they even gave a couple of takeaway bags. Great buzz, fresh food, good service. Exceeded expectations. Thank you.

A great wee Italian
The restaurant has a very homely feel. On a Wednesday night, it was full (always a good sign) and had a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The servers were attentive and efficient and the food was delicious. Orders were freshly prepared and authentic Italian options. There was an excellent choice of dishes on the menu and prices were appropriate. We will most definitely return when we are back in Aberfeldy.
